Wait so thier starting the series over again? Seems kind of odd to reboot a series with only 3 movies 1 of which was fairly mediocer, but who am i to say im not in "the bizz"

Well they did reboot the Hulk after just one movie.

I say this is a good thing. spiderman was moving in a bad direction with the movies. I'm hoping a new director, and hopefully a new writer, can shed some new light on the series. Although I'm not too impressed with all the word I've been hearing about the darker and grittier approach they want to take with this movie. spiderman has never been about the dark and gritty. hes a wise-cracking smart and sometimes awkward guy. sure he has SOME dark moments thru the comics but never enough to give him Dark Knight status.
wow it really has been a while. Havent made a long winded post in so long, it feels good.
